When the day fades, I love to listen to the violin. A teacher is just like a violin, a visionary of sound, who calculates its power, tone and reach even before putting the finishing touches to the different parts and preparing for the finale - a balanced, confident person equipped to achieve to their highest abilities, with grace and humility.
I work with students who need literacy support as well as those who are gifted and aspire to be enrolled in the top independent schools in Britain and Australia. I have worked with and educated dyslexic people in beautiful surroundings for 27 years. Firstly, it was in Oxford, England where I was awarded Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association. I came to Singapore in 1995 as head teacher of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS), and I now continue to live my passion by teaching at Coda Encore.

Having moved to Asia nearly 20 years ago, Elra has worked with pupils of all ages with varying sets of abilities. She is able to work with literacy and the humanities, in order to improve examination grades up to the IB/A level. She has developed many strategies and personalised one-on-one lessons to help students improve in a positive, lively and productive way.
Sara Florian, Ph.D.

Sara has over 15 years’ experience in tutoring. She employs different tailor-made methods, as she believes that every student is unique. In Singapore, many of her CE, IGCSE and ‘A’ levels pupils achieved remarkable results in their exams after a short period of time.
She has a PhD and a post-doc in Literature and is a published author. She has travelled around the world learning new languages as well as deciphering ancient ones.

Vivian loves to learn and keeps herself updated with the latest teaching strategies, adapting them to the unique learning profile of each child.
Gurvindar Kaur

Gurvindar is a UK qualified, IB-PYP trained educator with 25 years experience. After teaching for 10 years in UK schools, she then taught in two International Schools in Singapore for a total of 15 years. She was a literacy co-ordinator and teacher-mentor to fellow teachers. She has successfully prepared students for Independent Schools' exams. Gurvindar is a keen musician and singer and is fluent in 5 languages including Mandarin.
